International research about experience of young Ukrainians

Aktualizacja: 09-04-2024

Last year we hosted researchers from Pennsylvania from the UNESCO Chair based there and they commenced a new phase of their project on Empathy in Education, initiated by Prof. Pat Dolan from UNESCO Chair in Galway, Ireland and Prof. Mark Brennan from UNESCO Chair in Pennsylvania State University, US.

All involved presented their previous research findings at our conference - "Sociology of Education: Wellbeing and Resilience in the Times of Crisis". The leadership of the project was taken by Jamison Malcolm, whose story you can read here: https://www.psu.edu/news/global-programs/story/ukrainian-youth-researchers-collaborate-multi-site-refugee-program/

Jamison is our visiting scholar 2023/2024 and we are happy and proud to support his doctoral efforts and to support young Ukrainian and Belarusian students from secondary school in Warsaw on their journey to become young researchers and antiwar activists.

Dr Ewa Dąbrowa and our APS student Maria, liaise with our partner school in Zoliborz to make the project possible.

Young researchers and the APS team received an invitation from UNESCO HQ to present the outcomes of the project in the near future.

The Polish part of the project outcomes, prepared by the young researchers, will be available shortly on our YouTube channel and on our website, so to find out more .... keep looking.
