[new date] Language Lounge on Intercultural Communication in the Religious Dimension

The Language Lounge will take place on Wednesday 08.03.2023 at 1.30 p.m. in Senate room 3213 building C at the Maria Grzegorzewska University.

We invite you to the next meeting of the Language Lounge with an outstanding specialist in intercultural education and borderline cultures, the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Białystok, Professor Mirosław Sobecki, PhD.

Exceptionally, the Language Lounge will be held in Polish and will follow the formula of a lecture open to our entire Community. The Students are invited as well.

The Langage Lounge will take place on Wednesday 08.03.2023 at 1.30 p.m. in Senate room 3213 building C.

The Language Lounge is held as part of the EMPATHY project.

The project EMPATHY: Let's Empower, Participate and Teach each other to Hype Empathy: Challenging discourse about Islam and Muslims in Poland is a response to the high levels of intolerance, Islamophobia and xenophobia observed in Poland. The project is aimed at exploring the attitudes, awareness and approaches of school and university teachers, and other institutional stakeholders, in working with students coming from various cultures and at identifying negative stereotypes and spreading awareness about Islam in opinion leaders and institutional environments, e.g. among uniformed services, social workers, civil servants.
