APS was the coordinator of the creation of the "Catalogue of good practices of universities in the ESG areas" 2023

27-10-2023

The good practices were submitted by Univeristies from the entire country and published in the summarizing Catalogue.

"The good social responsibility practices of universities are assigned in this Catalogue to the areas of sustainability: the environmental area (E), the social area (S) and the governance area (G). These three areas are components of ESG, as applied in the responsible business" (Odrowąż-Coates, p. 19).

The Working Group for Social Responsibility at Universities at the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, in order to collect good practices of university social responsibility for the year 2022, prepared an online questionnaire which was sent out to universities’ managements. The universities' managements have decided to participate in this edition of the catalogue and have appointed persons responsible for entering the data. The data are hereby published in this, the fourth in the series, catalogue of good practices. Due to the presence of open-ended questions, which constitute the qualitative part of the research, the online questionnaire can be considered as a tool for the online interview method - CAWI (computer assisted web interviews).

The research was conducted in March 2023, using an online platform by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.

In this edition of the good practices catalogue of universities, the research data was compiled by an interdisciplinary team of researchers from the 7 universities affiliated to the Working Group for Social Responsibility at Universities, chaired by the Vice-Rector for Development Prof. dr Anna Odrowąż-Coates from our University. The team consisted of (in alphabetical order): Anna Adamus-Matuszyńska, Piotr Glen, Urszula Gołaszewska-Kaczan, Bogna Janik, Agnieszka Kamińska, Inna Khovrak, Krystyna Nizioł, Anna Odrowąż-Coates and Katarzyna Soszyńska.
