Gradueted at Warsaw University ( Institut of Political Sciences – 1973), doctor of history ( Military Historical Institut – 1979), doctor hab. ( Academy of Social Sciences – 1984), professor – 1992, military contemporary historian, author of 13 books and 300 articles, head of 14 doctoral advances, member of the Board of the Intenational Commission of Military History (ICMH), secretary general of the Polish Commission of Military History of the Scientific Committee of Historical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, president of the Associacion of Military Historians, paricipant in international congresses and conferences in Europe, America, Asia and Africa, author of historical presentations in media.
