Announcing Janusz Korczak Prize for Global South 2021

The winners of 2021 Janusz Korczak Prize for Global South are: Prof. Mahesh TS, Head of Department in Prasanna College of Ayurveda & Hospital, India & Mr Stephen Ogheneruro Okpadah of Bowen University in Nigeria and Warwick University in the UK.

The Rector of the Maria Grzegorzewska University and the Janusz Korczak UNESCO Chair Committee decided to award Prof. Mahesh TS with the Janusz Korczak Prize for Global South 2021 in the Distinguished Scholar Category. The prize is in recognition of Professor’s contribution to development of novel approaches to traditional Ayurveda Medicine and Philosophy in contemporary socio-educational contexts. The decision is supported by the evidence of multiple scientific publications in the field of education within the UNESCO Janusz Korczak Chair. Mr Stephen Okpadah is a lecturer at the Arts Department at Bowen University, Nigeria who pursues a PhD at Warwick University in the UK. His award is in the emerging scholar category in recognition of multiple scientific publications within the UNESCO Janusz Korczak Chair.
