Advisory Board for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility of the University

On the 12.10.2021, the first meeting of the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility of the University took place at APS with the Rector and Vice-Rector hosting the Board.

Participation in the Board is a social activity. The Board is composed of people representing many distinguished institutions who feel that the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 are important.

During the meeting, the President and Vice-Presidents of the Board were elected:

  • Prof. dr hab. Joanna Madalińska-Michalak, President of the Board;
  • Agnieszka Wrońska, PhD, Vice-President;
  • Katarzyna Dubno, Vice-President.

The Board members are

  • Michael Dembiński, Chief Advisor, BPCC British Polish Chamber of Commerce;
  • dr Alicja Jagielska-Burduk, Sekretarz Generalna Polski Komitet ds. UNESCO;
  • Marek Krupiński Dyrektor Generalny UNICEF Polska;
  • Małgorzata Połowniak-Dąbrowska, Manager Projektów Edukacyjnych, UNICEF Polska;
  • Tadeusz Wojciechowski, Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji, Narodowa Agencja Programu Erasmus+;
  • Dr Paweł Trzciński, Samodzielny Zespół Publicznych Zakładów Lecznictwa Otwartego Warszawa-Ochota;

The Advisory Board for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility of the University was established in connection with the vision of the development of APS as a modern, socially responsible University, developed in an innovative, sustainable and sustainable way, based on the principles of social justice, respect for human rights, promotion of social inclusion and protection of the natural environment and climate. We understand social responsibility as taking responsibility for one's own decisions and their impact on society and the environment. We strive to create a socially responsible environment inside and outside the University through the exchange of good practices and inspiring socially responsible activities. When educating professionals of the future, in the professions of social trust, we put

emphasis on the ethical dimension, responsibility towards living beings, society, economy and the natural environment in the local, national and international context.

The Advisory Board will have an important strategic advisory voice for the Rector's Concilium. The Board will initiate and assess activities for cooperation with the environment. It will formulate conclusions, recommendations, direct appeals, advise on development activities, promotional activities, activities for cooperation.
