Pioneers of UI Green Metric in Poland


On 14/12/2021 in Jakarta, the list of world universities that support the values ​​of sustainable development and the implementation of pro-ecological solutions was announced.

The Maria Grzegorzewska University took part in the ranking for the second time and improved its position by 23 points, compared to the previous year. Thus, it took 7th position in the country, close to University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and the University of Gdańsk.

Being the oldest pedagogical university in Poland, with a hundred-year tradition, we consider the responsibility for our common future to be particularly important and we constantly undertake new initiatives for sustainable development and social responsibility of the university.

We cooperate with the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, supporting the Working Group for the University's Social Responsibility, we established the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility of the University, a working group for equality and a working group for ecology 
The Student Union undertakes many important initiatives in the field of circular economy - Zero Waste Economy, creates new student-led scientific clubs. The University carries out grants and research for the protection of the natural environment, and sustainable development is an integral part of the educational and publishing offer.
