Biography

  • Doktor of law, advocate (attorney at law), a specialist in human rights, constitutional and anti-discrimination law, author of numerous publications on independent living of people with disabilities and modern forms of supporting them, the institution of incapacitation and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She combines scientific activity with advocacy.

    She is President of the Board of Directors of the Polish Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, Chairman of the National Consultative Council to the Minister of Family and Social Policy, member of the Accessibility Council to the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, and Vice President of the Polish Forum for Persons with Disabilities.

    Since 2011 she has been working at the Academy of Special Pedagogy. Her expert knowledge enriched by the value of legal practice and social policy perspective makes her publications interdisciplinary.

    Author of publications in easy-to-read and understand text, co-author of a training program for self-advocates.
