Language Lounge was successfully launched

On Thursday 24 February 2022 we initiated a series of lectures and workshops enhancing intercultural and linguistic skills of higher education personnel, titled: Language Lounge.

The event was launched by Dr Kishan Manocha, who opened the series of training events and provided an inspiring and interesting first opening lecture.

Dr Kishan Manocha is the Head, Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department, OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. The workshop consisted of presentation dedicated to: “The Baha’i Faith and the betterment of the world”.

The presentation was well received by the beneficiaries of the EMPATHY project co-financed by European Union and chaired by the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). 101049389 CERV-2021-EQUAL – antidiscrimination EMPATHY project: Let’s Empower, Participate and Teach each other to Hype Empathy: Challenging discourse about Islam and Muslims in Poland is the answer to high level of non tolerance, islamophobia and xenophobia observed in Poland.

Project aims include a study of teachers at schools and in academia, a study of curriculum and provision of differentiated training and support for cross sector workers who come across culturally diverse communities.
